General Benning

So I have read this article over and over and this may seem funny but the one thing that stands out to me is that he got married to Howard Jones, which is Augusta Jane Evans first cousin. I have no idea why and it isn’t even significant to this literal icon for Georgia but i just think its so interesting lol.

On as different note General Benning was an icon and he did a lot. He was in the civil war and fought in the seven days battles and helped with the union from invading Georgia. He also played other vile roles in the civil war that made was very heroic and historic. Needless to say he was a well respected and iconic man who continued to do throughout his life.
